“It all began at the tender age of three when I was captivated by my dad’s eclectic record collection. The sight of those albums spinning on the turntable, their vibrant covers drawing me in, sparked a fascination that would shape my future. I vividly remember trying to scratch the records, my tiny hands fumbling the needle across the grooves, creating a playful yet chaotic symphony that had little to no rhythm. Fast forward to a family holiday when I was six; I found myself entranced by a faint, steady 4/4 beat pulsating from a nearby nightclub. That drum pattern resonated within me like a heartbeat, igniting a burning desire to learn more and immerse myself in the world of music.

By age nine, I was already DJing at my middle school disco, inspired by popular DJ Dougal, who also spun tracks at my school. As I transitioned to upper school, I began learning the drums and in no time, I was playing in a grunge band, touring and eventually attending university to study music and business. AK Discos have performed at corporate events for clients such as Holiday Inn, Smyths Toys, Marston Brewery, Allianz Stadium (Twickenham) and Leicester City Football Club. We’ve had the privilege to DJ for and alongside renowned names including Trevor Nelson, Terry Hall, John Terry, DJ Luck and MC Neat, as well as sharing the stage with Biffy Clyro, Editors and The Automatic, among many others. DJing at Reading Festival stands out as our biggest gig to date, where we had the exhilarating opportunity to perform in front of an incredible 60,000 people, sharing the stage with numerous international bands.

We proudly host the biggest and longest running karaoke disco night in Milton Keynes – a beloved event that has brought our vibrant community together for over 12 years through the joy of music, singing, laughter and fun… a karaoke night like no other!
